A small group of club members spent a marvelous night at
La Posada. The facility is beautiful and full
of art and history. The food was fabulous.
The next morning we toured the
Rock Art Ranch
which is located south east of Winslow a short distance from La Posada. The owner, Brantley Baird, gave us a personal tour
of his fascinating collection of Indian artifacts collected on the property. Also, his museum contains a collection
of pioneer and ranching artifacts and memorabilia. Brantley, then, led us to the canyon where we were able to explore the
petroglyphs some of which are thought to be 6,000 years old or more. This is, probably, Arizona's best collection of rock art.
